Cyber Report Anonymizer Tool
The Anonymizer Tool removes identifying details from scans, exports and uploads before anything is sent to Cyber Report, so your tracking works without revealing your infrastructure.
What it removes
Section titled “What it removes”- Hostnames, IP addresses and MAC addresses
- Usernames and email addresses
- File paths that identify your organization
- Free-text fields, replaced with a length marker
What it keeps
Section titled “What it keeps”- Product names, versions and CVE identifiers — these are what tracking needs
- Counts and severity ratings
Using it (planned)
Section titled “Using it (planned)”The Anonymizer runs locally in your browser as part of every upload flow. For command-line use, the standalone tool processes a file in place:
cyber-anonymize scan-export.jsonThe original file is never modified; the anonymized copy is written alongside it and is the only thing uploaded.
