Setting Trackers and Alerts
Trackers tell Cyber Report which technologies, industries and settings matter to your organization. Stories that match a tracker can trigger alerts.
Creating a tracker (planned)
Section titled “Creating a tracker (planned)”- Open Settings → Trackers and choose New tracker.
- Enter the technology name — for example a firewall product, an operating system or a development platform.
- Optionally narrow the tracker with a version range, an industry or a country.
- Save. Matching stories appear in your Personalized Watchlist immediately.
Alert conditions
Section titled “Alert conditions”Each tracker can carry alert rules:
- Criticality level — alert only when a matching story’s importance crosses your chosen threshold.
- Attack type — for example vulnerability exploitation, ransomware or credential theft.
- First reporting — alert when a story is the first public report of a development, not on later coverage.
What trackers never do
Section titled “What trackers never do”Trackers filter and rank; they never change what sources are read or how stories are scored. A tracker match is not evidence of exposure — check the affected versions and conditions in the story before acting.
