Setting Alerts Manually

When you know exactly what you care about, set an alert manually instead of relying on a tracker’s matches.

  1. Open Alerts → New alert.
  2. Choose the subject:
    • a technology and optional version range,
    • a specific CVE identifier, or
    • an attack type.
  3. Set the criticality threshold and the contacts to notify.
  4. Save.

Any story page offers Alert on this — it pre-fills a manual alert with the story’s technologies and affected versions so you only choose the threshold and contacts.

A manual alert never widens what sources are read and never changes a story’s score. It only watches already-scored stories for your subject.
